Starting from Winnipeg on July 1, 2017 with a visit to the Winnipeg Railway Museum those on the package will fittingly travel on Canada Day on the dome car train called the CANADIAN to Melville, Saskatchewan to check into our hotel at this railway community and, after enjoying the CANADA DAY fireworks, overnight here.
Then on July 2, 2017 visit, by bus, some great Canadian attractions in the area including the Western Development Museum (Yorkton) and its collection of steam tractors, National Doukhobor Heritage Village, Canora Station Museum and other attractions in this community named for the Canadian Northern Railway including a ride on the privately owned narrow gauge train before overnighting at a hotel in nearby Yorkton, SK.
Monday July 3, 2017 will see the group transfer in the morning to the historic Canora, SK station to board the Churchill to Winnipeg train returning to Winnipeg. From here the guests will travel past some scenic areas including the headwaters of the Assiniboine River and views of Riding Mountain National Park and a planned visit to the Dauphin Railway Museum before the scheduled late afternoon return to Winnipeg.
